Anyone here play these genre?

I played NFS series and Midnight club 3 (which i loved)

Somehow, i just can't stand the most recent one - Midnight Club Los Angeles

The racing is tedious
MC3 was hard but this one is beyond that

I read that Rockstar made a download for this game to tame down the AI

Too bad i dun have xbox live

Time to sell i think

Xbox Live Arcade recently released OutRun Arcade Online. Extremely unforgiving difficulty.

Played Forza 1 and 2 before, difficulty acceptable for 1st time race drivers.
Singer high
Mario Kart! laugh.gif
Also played Ridge Racer when PSP first came out. That time it had the coolest graphics on a handheld.

For PC, my all-time fav is the very old game called Death Track. You can shoot guns, missiles, drop mines to get rid of the competition, like the movie Death Race. There's gonna be a sequel soon called Death Track: Resurrection. Hope it'll be as good.

Wah Deathtrack, that's during secondary school days. Remember the charlie chaplin lookalike who gives quest.

I agree with singerhigh on the Ridge racer ! It has got to be one of the best racing games out there ! As for the NFS series, NFS underground 2 is my favourite rock.gif ! The Gran turismo series is also one of the best .
riderkickxx
Ridge Racer tops my list both for PSP + PS2.

Its still in my PSP laugh.gif

NFS not to my liking..somehow not comfortable with its control.

I think GT series is more like a racing simulation rather than a car racing game.

i bought one when i was in the craze of playing racing games on both the PC and the Xbox, got the one with multiple ports (PC/PS/PS2/Xbox/the pre-Wii nintendo console(forgot the name)) complete with steering wheel, gear stick(optional via a cable connection if u want to use it) and pedals, even got the F1 gear changing levers in case u dun wanna use the gear stick.

sure it was fun, but only can rotate at most 90 deg to the left or right, controls were horribly laggy and super sensitive, tried out other similar set ups but also with the same experience. to make a slight turn, gotta steer ever so slightly to the sides and like 1 sec b4 u actually do using a controller... it's so easy to oversteer and lose control as a result.

not too sure about these things these days, kinda lost the thrill of playing racing games
