In this week's 王風雷傳 , Tony Wong and Co. took a swipe at 天下無敵小劍仙, saying that "a lot of readers" complained that the book is crap. So, what they did was to tell the readers that Jade Dynasty isn't behind the book. They're just "selling advertising space" to Culture Com since Culture Com is the copyright holder.

Regardless, in the same issue of 風雷, they also mentioned that Tony Wong is now trying to secure the copyright of 醉拳, in a bid to redefine the whole story and universe like what he did to 龙虎门.

If this turns out to materialize, I'd be happy since I love the original 醉拳. However, I hope they can put all those attention-grabbing nonsense aside (e.g., 神掌龍劍飛 looks like it's going to be a "The Origin of 極道羅剎" story instead of a trueblue 如來神掌 story), and concentrate of making a series that can please the older fans. To be honest, the younger generation won't give a damn to stuff like 醉拳. It's old men like us who appreciates this sort of thing because it reminds us of our childhood. Please give us a good story and I'll gladly pay that $4 every week to support the book.

It's confirmed. Khoo Fuk Long is drawing this. It's announced in this week's 神兵4.

Is it an on-going series? If it is I wonder how long 龙少 will stay in this new revamp.

Got a feeling 神兵4 will end soon so that he can do this. I believe 神兵4 doesn't sell many copies. I really like it, but I do agree with some quarters that the story seems to be going haywire recently with all those funny characters popping out of nowhere. The 1970s feel of the early issues is all but gone.

I am still ok with 神兵4 too. I just find that main character like 紀辰天 having incredible super powers in such a short time a bit turn off. In fact, for a story that has just started not too long and basically you see like almost every character is like superhuman with powers beyond imagination, you will get a feeling that the story is ending soon. I mean what more surprises can you expect if you have already seen the character able to fly, one body can split into more than one, disintegrate it own body into pieces and become back as one again, all the god like powers.

Ok back to 新著醉拳. I think now the main concern here will be, WHO is writing the story? 龙少's name alone cant guarantee for a good comic, don't get me wrong, he is one of my favorite hk comic creator, just my own opinion he is the professional on the drawing board, but when it comes to story telling...hehe.

So far, I like the author of Tian Zi 6. But of course I hope he stays in Tian Zi 6 since I personally kind of like the story until now.

Somemore 鍾英偉 is gearing up for a 神兵F sequel. Him writing for 新著醉拳? No chance.

Another new advertisement is mentioning how Wang Feng Lei's Dark Ice Fire 7 is useless to Lao Zu Zong. Looks like either the first few issues are linked to Long Hu Men or whole series is linked.

The girls in 三国神兵 are prettier. Love that Yumi from issue #1!

Anyway, I preordered issue #1 for this book, the HK$38 vintage cover one. Told uncle not continuing, just want to have that cover.

hmm I probably would get it for the sake of the weapon. Hope the future issues can come with the "Tiger roar" blade

- Time returns to n years ago, when 老祖宗 was still 小劍仙

They may want to consider changing the title to 龍虎門外傳2.

I read this online, even before I picked up my reserved copy. I'm thinking of cancelling my preorder. I cannot be paying money even for the nostalgia cover. It's the worst ever 1st issue I've ever read for a HK comic. The general reactions from readers have been negative, and "negative" is an understatement. I've never seen such a huge unhappiness over a comic in my almost 30 years of reading comics.

haha, I think this is a plot by 邱福龙 to make all readers stop 龙虎门 since we so call know those characters will be eventually be defeated anywhere. Therefore 丘's future comics can attract more readers after readers giving up on Jade Dynasty.

Got my copy today from west coast plaza, the name should change to 玉朗老祖宗 instead

Someone already posted the picture in 邱福龙's blog, I wonder how he will respond to it?
Or he just act blurr and ignore it like what he did to all the negative comments in his blog.

Just took a peek at issue 5. Looks like 小剑仙 learning Drunken Fist while 无忌 learning poison.

小剑仙 is the lead character mah, so obviously he must learn 醉拳!

I try not to link too much to "friendly" sources, but this one really give me the creeps:

I saw that too, my goodness!!!! Whose "brillant" idea is that. The 小醉娃 totally CMI leh.

This so call "黄玉郎醉拳" 邱福龙尽显实力作品 is going to end at issue 23. Oh the jokers from JD claim that this is originally the intended running size for this title. Like I am going to believe that. Those who really LOVE this title need not worry, new chapter with brand new issue number ONE will kick start right after.

What will it be named? 黄玉郎醉拳二? Or 黄玉郎醉拳 1.5?

While the last few issues may feel like some sci-fi comics at times, I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Just don't take the storyline too seriously can already.

From what I know 鍾英偉 will not be involved in for the second relaunch series. 李中興 is the only script writer left to continue.

#24, 日帝月後篇 is out. Apparently this story will last only about 10-12 issues. After that, what? End the book forever?

The best feature is this book is the ONE PAGE with 甘小文's 醉拳王無知﹗
