No choice brother, everone saw it coming already.. if u notice the trend its one new mould followed by repaint or upgrade.. so Grimlock should be MP-07 followed by Thunder MP-08

coming up with a deluxe TF mold is already very expensive due to the cost of research / development and making the mold furthermore this is MP scale so you can imagine the cost. Of course they would wan to maximize the usage of existing molds but I remember Takara already stated they would use the existing molds to their fullest to cut down on cost. This is the same for Binaltech /Alternators with Smokescreen / Mister molds.

So we should expect repaints coming already when the line started and as consumers we do have the choice of choosing what we want. Furthermore there is a new mold of Grimlock coming up so def its news worth rejoicing for.

guess Takaratomy gonna gamble since grimlock is oni in its original colour,use once and tt's it the mold unless after tt they are gonna paint blue for the G2 colour grimlock,other than tt,they made this new mold is non profit nt like other mold like optimus prime & seekers.

MP Grimlock! I wonder if they will use the simple transformation like G1. Or perhaps they might R&D more to improve and hide the dino head and hands, that'd be cool, but perhaps uncool for others.

thundercracker...same reason as other bros who decide to get this piece...to complete the seekers...i oredi got two of them...so def i am going to get the 3rd one....

well they din reuse the megatron mould.

maybe hasbor will do the anime accurate grimmy for "25th anniversary DVD" just like they anime accurated OP for 20th anniversary DVD.

why do u guys assume the 1st grimlock release wont be anime accurate? MP01 was.

Hmmm i think the price will go up.. cos afterall the G1 Screamer doesnt officialy belong to the MP series (no official number) and i tried posing it beside my other 2 seekers it looks kinda out of place.. just my 2 cents opinion..

Not entirely. His eyes were too shiny. Hasbor did the light blue anime eyes for the 20th anniv dvd version.

Also, his "ribs". those silver bands underneath his chest and next to his grill/abs...they are white in the cartoon. Hasbor made those white too.

Only thing is hasbor succumbed to yellow fever and put yellow on his helmet for i dunno what. They were very into having yellow parts on OP during that phase (galaxy force, classics etc)

wah,just come out the very 1st and they are not gonna make it anime will make no sense in producing the 1st ever grimlock.

Nah, mp3 hasn't been reproduced unlike mp6 and mp3 usa edition which have flooded the market.
And so far only mp1/mp2/mp3 and mp4(to some extent) has appreciated in value.
mp6 skywarp and mp3 usa edition can easily be found at pre-order prices and lower

pardon me, but is Masterpiece restricted to only G1?
I honestly hope MP comes out with a T-Rex Grimlock and not the WW version.

though that's not to say I won't jump at buyin' it too!

The three seekers may be just a halfway point for the masterpiece mould, a little remould and we may have the three corehead joining the masterpiece series. But Grimlock will likely join Megatron as unrepaintable IMO.
