the bike looks "bigger" than megahouse...that my opinion...(the height of the bike looks good but the length is kind o short"
but at same time...i not impressed by the "colours" judging from the pics...looks a bit off and kind of light...thus making it look kind of "kiddy"

hmm...the only thing at does not do much justice if the helmet can be removed or not.....i believe all would like the helmet to be removable.

yes i agree with Friday13 on the color and size.

size - seems like a better figure-to-bike proportion compared to Megahouse's version (which the bike is too small). The figure itself is 10cm tall (probably 12cm when in ride armor mode), overall should be slightly smaller than Megahouse's.

color - too light. but maybe it was the photo lighting?

accessories - Stick's bike came with the 3 storage boxes, while Rey's don't seem to come with any. (this seems to be opposite of Megahouse's according to official pics as of now) EDIT: new pics show that both comes with storage boxes.

detailing - seems less detail compared to Megahouse's? also the chest part looks flat and no details？

other points worth a note - Rey's bike should not have that '21' marking. Is the helmet removable?

- seems like Megahouse's version transformation need removing parts etc, but CM's is fully transformable (no swapping of parts).

Agreed that the color looks too light.

Megahouse's ones seems to be more blocky = more closer to the old gakken ones

CMS's ones looks more slick though, either way, im getting both

notice CMs' name labels, colors are all wrong. they got it mixed up... -.-

S.Bernard supposed to be "21" with 4 missiles on forearms, and red arms/blue knees.
Rey supposed to be gun on right forearm, blue arms/red knees.

in the animation, theres no "31" label, but this old model has it.

the colors look really off... will hold the purchase til i see the actual thing.

You meant the opposite isit? I find Megahouse more slick and CMS more blocky or is it just me?? I was quite sure abt gettin the Megahouse til I read its not fully transformable.. shucks.. Mayb I will get both too.

Not fully transformable, in the sense that you may need to remove some parts to complete the transformation. Anyway its not confirmed, juz a spectulation.

Legioss & thread full coloured. Looks better proportioned than Toynami/Aoshima, but the looks plasticky though. Scheduled to be release in late Feb 08 (in time to rob our Ang Pow money (applicable to singles only ) RRP 29,400YEN.

more expensive than the Chogokin God Mars 23000yen. that explains why this series is called Brave gokin "EX" lol...

complaints:
1. chest air intake "hole" too small. very disappointed.
2. plasticky
3. cockpit not colored

seems like the official rrp is set too high. 21180yen is the pre-order price for rakuten, and seems much more reasonable.

Luckily the red and green ones are not yet released. will be crazy if they release all at the same time.. lol.

if they sell separately, they will have trouble getting rid of some stocks.

imho, blue comes in a set is ok.

also, green beta still acceptable, but did we ever see a red beta in the anime? don't recall ever seeing one. :S

oh my god!! after seeing the comparison pictures u posted, I cannot help but pointing out that the new version chest look like the girl whose breasts are shrinking after baby stops the breast feeding..

one question, how come this toy can be produced by so many companies one but all still plastic?

is it a pre-requisite that the more company produces the same toy, it must be die-cast?

Hope this image helps everyone make their decision better, well... at least for poor people like me who cannot afford both CM's and Megahouse's cyclones... Put side by side and compare~!!!



Personally, I prefer Megahouse's. CM seems to be going for a retro look (resembling the original vintage Cyclone, the made in Singapore one ) while Megahouse is introducing brighter colours. Do agree that the rider seems a bit too big for the bike for Megahouse, but so far there aren't "un-helmet-ed" heads for CM's right...? The only thing that really bothers me is that Megahouse's seems to be lacking storage boxes... :S

Think will stick to Megahouse for the cyclones. I haven't own any CM or Megahouse products before... May I ask (if it is a fair question in the first place, if not just ignore) which company has a better reputation for QC / durability...?

As for Legioss, sigh, cannot lah... 29400 JPY use XE.com convert is 376.856 SGD!!! That's... way beyond budget. Got ang-pow also not like that spend one... Will be happy w/ just the bikes

Must commend though, the Legioss look good. Small breasted or what-not, the overall proportion and colours are quite appealing. Reminds me of G2 Starscream and BB (just that this one small plane goes in front). Muaha. Just started watching the anime, quite exciting I must say... considering its >20 yrs old...!

I cannot understand how the legioss can be more expensive then GodMars (6 robots!!)

CMS transformation toy all damn ex. Eg GGG series. So i am not too surprise.

I do have the blue legioss from Aoshima , toy quality looks plasticky leh , feels fragile too . Didnt transform the toy to play . Paint job not done well , a few blotches of paint on some parts .

high price for a initial release. quite risky to commit.

CMS products tend to be expensive as they dun produce large quantities. Anyway, in terms of diecast content, CMS brave gokin series usually live up to its name. QC wise they are improving but their paintworks so far still have room for improvement. It's not so much of bad or shoddy paintjob but their choice of flat colours tend to cheapen the look of their toys.

so for i got CMs labors, so far no serious complaints as it is not very articulated (comparing to revoltech.. hahaha (unfair for die cast lah))...

For a brave-gokin line, I would expect some decent amt of diecast. Nonetheless, so far so good, quite like the proportions although, the chest part does look a bit weird.

from the pics, especially the cyclone ones, we can safely conclude that the die-cast is mainly on the support joints.

evidently, the red alpha's shoulders and under chest shows the die-cast.

i'd say it looks quite good! altho abit plasticky, and that chest is really bothering me... guess have to see if i can swap it with a more anime accurate chest....

the cyclone on the edge of that pic looks better - not so plasticky? perhaps due to the color. supposed to come this month.
