MM.m.mM.. Wondering if there is people who collect or play magic cards here

Well, i still do play & collect them.

icic. When u start playing? i start during the mirage series.

i sold off 90% of my collection a few years back.

i still got a type 1 drop deck thou.

i think i got a box of uncommons stashed somewhere in my cupboard. if anybody is interested, i can sell them the entire box for $20

I started buying at Exodus and stopped at Urza's Legacy.
Fun while it lasted, but just couldn't keep up with the new releases.

Now, still trying to dump what I have: lots of common, uncommon stuff and a some worthless rares ;;;

I started way back from the 4th Edition, but I forgot stopped at what edition.   

My cousin was the power collector back then, he had cards mostly before 4th edition and those cards were too powerful for the normal decks.

All my MTG cards were given away by my younger brother many years back. How silly.

well...i too have some cards from apocalypse and plain shift to clear...

Where do magic players and collector goes nowadays? Last time i remember was World of JJ at bishan rite...haha..need to get rid of my cards...

i think one of the few places left is Comicsmart at serene center.

there oso got many tables for players to play.

Used to frequent there during my sec sch days..

My cards are mostly played, I don't imagine they're good for much expect further play, or the rubbish bin.

no luck. i'd prolly burn my box of uncommons as contempt of the hobby eventually hahaha

but something odd happened to be as of late...

i went to ebay and brought some cards that i couldn't afford years back so that i can complete my deck!

I got myself:

3 Masticore
2 Cursed Scroll
4 Lake of the Dead

all that for less than $100... it would have been double that amount if I brought them during the heydays!

The legendary Black Lotus and Mox Diamond will still cost you a bomb on Ebay.

Magic cards are such classic collectibles. Probably one of the longest lasting card games around.

Now even got Chrome Mox... but its duration based effect makes it only powerful in the current Type 2 scene

Black Lotus isnt banned in magic. It still can be used, just that it is restricted. Well, saving up for a black lotus. As i already have 1 of the power 9

Its new card type Planeswalkers. Your fellow magicians if you will. Number on lower right (5 in this case) is their loyalty points. Once every turn, you can use one of the three abilities listed on the card. This will add/subtract from this loyalty points as costed (the +1 in this case)

Also, your opponent(s) may target the planeswalkers as if they were a separate player. Meaning target them with direct damage or attack them with creatures. You may defend them with spells, abilities, or set defenders for them. Any damage done to them will be taken out from their loyalty points. Once it drops down to zero, they leave the game.

All i can remember about them for the moment.
