Just some news from the grapevine.
The local distributor Van Halen is not distributing Stikfas anymore. Well after the fiasco of dealing with them directly and the difficulties and beauracratic hurdles, I do hope that distribution of stikfas becomes more balanced and properly done.
So for what I've heard, stikfas would be distributing stikfas in Singapore directly...and I think they might just do that unless someone/ entity would want to pickup the product for local market.
I personally hope that with Stikfas doing the local scene...that there would be some exposure in their backyard, and getting the product into the bigger market. Hopefully they'd do something about the prices also....as the "modelkit" market is dominated by Gundam....and well a small kit cost less than 10 bucks..so for any parent getting a Gundam kit 1/144 vs a Stikfas basic kit is a No-brainer...
The ads and TV scripts for SuperHero Al, was a good start to help the kids identify with Stikfas, probably more competitions in malls..or even better- doingup some competitive game using cards and Stikfas parts - based on the more complex toyline Xevoz..but using the standard stikfas figures...Possible? yes..probable? not too sure who holds the rights to Xevoz concept and the figure designs.
Well let cross our fingers and see what happens.
