Found this new title in the shops. Drawn by 何志文. It was surprisingly good. Ok, not top-notch, but the way the story goes follows the original novel closely. In fact, 何志文 has pledged that he will not change the story at all unlike many novel-adapted comics. I hope this book will go all the way instead of going to an abrupt end.

Will go comic shop today to take a look. laugh.gif

This is a bi-weekly release.

Any idea that this novel is a long going story line or a short 1??

If it is a long going 1, from the progress for every 2 weeks for 1 issues really takes up a few yrs to finish the whole story man dry.gif

Somemore, I heard that Jue Shi Wu Shuang is going to have part 2 rite? If it is true, we will have to waits for dun know how many donkey yrs just for the part 2 wink.gif

Wah, this title has been announced since a long time ago. Finally its out. The guy didn't even tell me there'd be a new title this week. Gotta go down soon.
delifrance79
This is quite low profile. Even though the boss from the comic shop that I often visits doesn't even knows that this title is coming in this week too.

I remember that He Zhi Wen said that he will draws Shu Jian after Jue Dai Shuang Jiao. In the end, it turned up releasing jue shi wu shuang. Not really promising during that time.

And now, it finally released. A must collect title for me for Jin Yong's novel. Looks like Bi Xue Jian is the only novel that hasn't picked up for the manga. Or did I left out any novels??

This is not a bad title to collect, standard is there and 何志文 is the gurantee rock.gif

Next up the line will be his Jue Shi Wu Shuang 2.

The novel is two books like (about 800 pages), so it's considerably shorter than the epics of Louis Cha. Still, 侠客行 was two books long and lasted only 20+ issues of comics right?

I am a supporter of 何志文, so even though 书剑恩仇录 is one of my least favorite Louis Cha novel, I already bought a copy of first issue to read. 何志文 may not have a superb drawing skill compared to Tony Wong, but he is way better than Tony Wong in writing story. rock.gif
delifrance79
In terms of fighting scenes, I prefered 何志文 's style. U can sees how well the fight scenes between Jiang Qi and Fo Ye Mo from Jue SHi Wu Shuang. Damn exciting sia, also boost me up to chase this title. clap.gif

Same, initially I didn't want to get it since I don't feel much about 书剑恩仇录, but when he release it, still can't resist.

In normal case, they write approx 20issues for every 1 issue of the novel, so maybe 40+?? I think the story of 侠客行 was reduced, although I didnt read the novel also.

The story-writing in this comic reminds me of the one in 剑.翻云, as in it uses a lot of words to explain the situations. Some people don't like this, but I kind of like the way it tries to be close to the source materials.

In fact 剑.翻云 is one of my favourite Hk comics though not alot of ppl appreciate it. The more words the merrier if it really story telling not crap. This one most likely i will keep TPB laugh.gif

I also like comic with alot of words, at least wont feel "cheated" in a way rubchin.gif those 2 page fight 1 scene like Ba Dao really cant take it.
delifrance79
Yeah, just like the Xue Shang Fei Wu by Ma Sir, can sees that more words are explained in the manga rather than drawing them out. But I doesn't likes the ending parts, should have given more space for the endings.

何志文's art very inconsistent. Sometimes the pictures look awesome, sometimes they look distorted. Just look at 骆冰's face in #3 and you'll know what I mean.
delifrance79
At least his arts remained his standard unlike the others from JD and TX. They are more worst imo.

Only Tian Xia remained it's standard rock.gif
lokeskywalker007
Just finished no. 5. The last two pages of 陈家洛 is very well drawn. So far 何志文 is doing a good job maintaining the book's standard.

After the book changed into a bi-weekly format, the art became more consistent. It's a really enjoyable read.

Hope 何志文 can keep up the good work. smile.gif

I bet he will laugh.gif I likes his arts too

Latest issue changes back to glossy paper. 何志文 did give an explanation why last issue normal paper was used.
super_convoy
I pity 何志文. In the latest issue, he mentioned that his office kenna attacked by toilet water. Took them two days to clear the mess. How to work like that? laugh.gif
lokeskywalker007
19 issues down the road, the story has reached about one quarter of the original novel. Finally, 乾隆 is making an appearance.
lokeskywalker007
A pleasant surprise in the 2nd last issue. No it not the story or the art, its 何志文's rendition of transformer icon optimus prime and megatron. biggrin.gif
