Hi guys,
I'm new here in this forum...have a couple of questions to ask.
Is the Daigokin Grest Mazinger available in HK now?
Anyone here thinking of letting go of their Daigokins? I'm looking for the normal clor version (either Lite blue or dark blue)...willing to pay SG$800+
Do drop me a PM...
Let you guys, I'm a big fan of gokins...
Ciao

hmmm, it's going to be a tough find in singapore.
1) Not many people bought it
2) Those who bought it aren't very keen on selling cos they're bloody hardcore...

Currently I've the black and Toys'R'Us version...hoping to get the normal color. Unfortunately no one brings them in anymore...even the new ones like the "Gold" version.
Btw, guess the Great Mazinger should be out for sale in HK since there're peolpe selling them online. Will be there in two weeks time.
The Great Mazinger is a MUST HAVE...don't you think so? That's gonna be the ultimate gokin ever! 3.5KG
kane
Feb 7 2005, 01:27 AM
grendizer will be 4.5kg ma. haha...
but you've got some good stuff... both are the rarer versions.
Insomnia
Feb 7 2005, 01:36 AM
Thanks man! Cost me a bomb for those two...
Looking forward to the Grendizer as well. Imagine have all the daigokins displayed in a roll with the rest of the SOCs. Super COOL man!
New year resolution...to own at least five of the Daigokins released so far. 3 to go...
Hey Kane, which version have you got?
kane
Feb 7 2005, 01:37 AM
got the light blue classic version mazinger. heh... and i'm clinging on to it... heh...

Guess that'll be the last thing you'll let go...
Mr Ng had one in his shop now but the conditions really really bad...looks like it had been ran over by a lorry. Tot of actually having it re-painted. That's gonna be a major operation...
It's really getting hard to find Daigokins nowadays...online prices are way to high at times or have been out-bidden.
Btw, this's a cool forum...very informative and poisonious as well.

heh, with all the pictures and reviews. think you need to keep it dry, otherwise it will start to develop 'bubbles'...

Truly, truly, at 3.5kg I say unto to you: this is the indisputable King of Gokin.
You need both hands to hold this. It is that heavy. It was a struggle just to get it out of the box.
The sheer size and weight of this Daigokin gives it a presence which has made every other chogokin I have in my possession look inconsequential....and small.
none of 1/48 valk, MPOP, Scopedog, Dancouga, PG Strike Gundam are tall enough to even reach the Daigokin's shoulder. Even the vintage Godaikin T28 is shorter. Even my biggest vinyl Godzilla is smaller. No other diecast robot is this heavy. As far as weight and size are concerned, it does not get any better than this.
Everytime I hold this, I still feel a high, with my hair standing on end.
The paintjob on mine is flawless and perfect, despite my fears about some reports that the paintjob on certain shipments were less than ideal. The gloss shows no scratches or defects.
There are some very sharp, metal edges on this thing.
Since the Daigokin Great Maz (3.5kg) is heavier than the Daigokin Maz (2.4kg) by a whopping 1 kg, lets hope the upcoming Daigokin Grendizer is 4.5kg !!!
finally, this cost my a good fraction of my salary

notice how small danny looks.

revisiting the Daigokin MAz pic for comparison, I would say the sculpt is improved for the Great Maz. It is 1kg heavier largely because the Great Maz is stouter and thicker than the Maz.

i think the size created a bit of trade-off with the painjob quality... and bigger and the trade-off with paintjob may be objectionable. as it is, i think some are probably familiar with the apparently reported QC problems in the first batch.

Think of it now after comparing the size difference between the Great Mazinger and Mazinger...it really look small now

. Wait till the Grendizer's out, than the great Mazinger will look small...

Great Maz is not only bigger and heavier, but the paint job is also smoother and more glossy.
The second shipment of the Great Maz (with no paint problems) has made this item very very hot. first shipment got scratches at legs.

Think it's not die-cast...looking at the website <www.artstorm.com>, the pictures shows no screw holes as we all can see on the back of any Chogokin toy. Maybe I might be wrong...cos I don't read jap.
