My old PSP now with my cousin...so think maybe now would be a good time to get 1 again. So...came across a shop with a red PSP..is there such official PSP colour? Does lite support 8gb memory stick too? Lastly how long does the lite battery last...good enough to watch a full 2hrs movie? Sorry for all these questions....were outdated long on PSP already.

Yup , the red color psp is an official release . Dun worry abt batt life enuf for u to watch a movie , play a few games , mp3 , etc .

Do i just transfer the video in and i can watch le? Ya jus transfer in can le. But must format ur memory card and jus put the anime into the 'video' folder.
Or do i nid to install some video software 1st? you have to convert the video into a mp4 format
Or only certain type of file can be viewed in PSP? yea i'm not too sure abt other formats but confirm mp4 works.

USe Psp Video 9. it is a free ware. http://www.pspvideo9.com/

it convert avi to mp4 which psp can play only mp4 format. It will generate a mp4 and a jpg as thumbnail.
after convertion from the PC then transfer the two files together to the video folder at the root of PSP.

so to confirm..
1)convert avi or any other file to mp4 (the only file playable)

Rem after the psp video9 converts your avi or whatever file format to mp4, DUN rename it...
Also, u will need to create a special folder in your memory card for that mp4.


I be quite keen if psp can actually playback avi and rmvb files.

There 2 type of video folder for the psp , ANV n M4V . Anyway , when u insert a memory stick into the psp , the sytem will auto create the video folder . It should be named "MP_ROOT" . Open it n there will be 2 folders named " 100ANV01" & 100MNV01" folders respectively . Most converted mp4 videos should be in the MNV folder .

what you all talking about? I use PSP video 9 and after conversion I just put the files on Video folder on the ROOT directory and it works. No need to put in any MP_ROOT folder leh...

For $200 USD, you'll get Madden 09, "NFL: In Just One Play" on UMD, a voucher to download the excellent Beats from the PlayStation Store, a 1GB memory stick and, most importantly, a new "Metallic Blue" PSP. Also, since it's a 1seg digital TV tuner (ISDB-T broadcasting format), its use is limited to the Japan airwaves. The TV tuner will be released at the same time as the new PSP, and will retail for 6,980 yen (about $57), about the same as a low-end USB TV tuner for a PC.

I am on the latest firmware, it gives me radio.

I think thats the gd thing abt going fully original. U get all the new add-ons from sony.

recently went to funzcentre last night for them to take a look @ my psp slim....i noticed it takes sooo long for it to load....when i got there the technician said umd disc lens keeps running, even i ask to mod it.....its either i buy an orig umd game or i just open the umd cover every time it happens....ended w/ buying a slightly used game juz to fix the problem....quite sad coz my psp is only abt 6 mnths old.....darn!!!

Since it's 6mths old , why not bring it back to Sony and have them look see look see ? Maybe they can exchange a new one for you or at least fix your PSP since the warranty is still valid mah ? Buying a 2nd hand game to fix the problem ? Doesn't sound very the technical leh .
