I bought mine for $118...a 8GB SanDisk MemoryStick PRO Duo.

ya use the usb cable. once you open psp folder, open the music folder. then simply drag and drop music files from your pc folder to psp folder.

Does lite support 8gb memory stick too? Lastly how long does the lite battery last...good enough to watch a full 2hrs movie? Sorry for all these questions....were outdated long on PSP already.

USe Psp Video 9. it is a free ware. http://www.pspvideo9.com/

it convert avi to mp4 which psp can play only mp4 format. It will generate a mp4 and a jpg as thumbnail.
after convertion from the PC then transfer the two files together to the video folder at the root of PSP.

good luck. smile.gif

Yes. the software will guild you along. it very friendly.
2) Transfer both mp4 and JPG into the video folder which is from the root. If anime 30 min normally less than 200MB.
3) yes. it can work liao. the software will give you some option as to use 2.80 version or 3.30 version to convert to old or new video mode. in cases where new mode type of video cannot read from your PSP then try the old option which is 2.80. All the above you will understand when you install and use Video 9. try. No harm one.

Rem after the psp video9 converts your avi or whatever file format to mp4, DUN rename it...
Also, u will need to create a special folder in your memory card for that mp4.

I be quite keen if psp can actually playback avi and rmvb files. biggrin.gif

There 2 type of video folder for the psp , ANV n M4V . Anyway , when u insert a memory stick into the psp , the sytem will auto create the video folder . It should be named "MP_ROOT" . Open it n there will be 2 folders named " 100ANV01" & 100MNV01" folders respectively . Most converted mp4 videos should be in the MNV folder .

New PSP Colour, Only In Special Madden Bundle

Sony have just announced that on August 12, they'll be releasing a special PSP hardware bundle, built around this year's handheld version of Madden. For $200 USD, you'll get Madden 09, "NFL: In Just One Play" on UMD, a voucher to download the excellent Beats from the PlayStation Store, a 1GB memory stick and, most importantly, a new "Metallic Blue" PSP. The colour's a bit so-so for me, but for $200, that's a deal so sweet we've gotta use italics. Pic of the full bundle follows.

Metallic Blue PSP Slim & Lite is headed for Japan as well. It will come in two bundles: a "value pack" (¥23,800), which is the PSP, a 32MB card, AV cables and various bags/straps, and a "1 Seg" pack (¥29,800), which is everything that comes in the value pack, but with the addition of the nifty 1 Seg TV tuner. Both will be out in Japan on July 17.

The 1SEG TV Tuner has been released since Sep last year.
2 bad news for you:
QUOTE
In Japan, SCE will release a TV tuner (PSP-S310), which users can attach to the new PSP via its USB port. The peripheral weighs in at only 17 grams and is very portable, but is compatible only with the new PSP model. Also, since it's a 1seg digital TV tuner (ISDB-T broadcasting format), its use is limited to the Japan airwaves. The TV tuner will be released at the same time as the new PSP, and will retail for 6,980 yen (about $57), about the same as a low-end USB TV tuner for a PC.

Since it's 6mths old , why not bring it back to Sony and have them look see look see ? Maybe they can exchange a new one for you or at least fix your PSP since the warranty is still valid mah ? Buying a 2nd hand game to fix the problem ? Doesn't sound very the technical leh .

New PSP Model announced. 3 colours available: black, silver & white.

QUOTE

The new PSP retains the size and features of the current, slimmed-down PSP (PSP-2000), while incorporating some hardware updates:

* The LCD screen will have a wider color gamut and higher contrast ratio to deliver deeper, more vibrant colors, as well as anti-reflection technology so you can see the screen more clearly when playing outdoors. As you all know, the PSP’s screen is a key strength of the hardware, and this update adds an absolutely dazzling LCD screen to the handheld.

* A built-in microphone allows for Skype calls and multi-player gaming communication directly from the hardware - eliminating the need for attaching a separate headset.

Similar to our firmware updates, the new PSP is simply an opportunity to evolve the platform with the newest technology without adding to the cost of the system. The PSP Entertainment Packs will continue to be $199.99 USD (MSRP), and later this year we’ll release a standalone, updated PSP in a PSP Core Pack, which remains at $169.99 USD (MSRP).
