Hi guys, I just started on FF X International. Got a couple of stuff like to ask any expert FF gamers here.
1) What is the diff on the normal & international sphere gird? I can't read jap & selected the international one liao. In terms of difficulty, which is harder?
2) I suck at Blitzball!!! Any tips on how my relegation threatened team can improve?
Thanks!

In the International version, everyone starts out nearer to the center of the sphere grid so its easier to switch them over to another character's part of the grid. Plus International version has all the dark aeons and Penance as an additional challenge.
As for blitzball, The Jecht Shot is not really a must be its good to have. Makes it really easy. Especially since it gets rid of two defenders for you automatically.
I recommend recruiting Zev Ronso in Luca and use him as your center. THat guys is almost impossibly to defeat... There's another guy in Luca who's also a pretty good catcher. He's the guy sitting in a chair, located in the round square near the exit to Mihen High road. Find another striker too. It'll keep you from depending on Tidus too much.

So far in my FF-X game, I'm just a stage before the final showdown with Sin. Collecting all the Sigils for my characters legendary weapons. Freaking hard siah especially Tidus chocobo race (yet to win)...
The easiest is Yuna's (completed), now battling hard for Wakka's sigil in Blitzball...As I neglected playing Blitzball for a bulk of the game now I have to obtain 3 other Wakka's Overdrives before I can obtain the item.
But the good news is after much practice I can easily beat a team 4-0 no problem. My Blitzteam consists of:
1) LF: Tidus
2) RF: Blappa
3) MD: Zev Ronso (thanks to Dagger's recommendation)
4) LD: Lakkam
5) RD: Berrik
6) GK: Nimrook
Substitutes: Wakka & Linna
Now playing the League to obtain Wakka's Status Reels...at least I'm currently 1st on the table...but looks like I'll be spending the whole of today Blitzing...

Haha, that guy is power personified. Especially when he learns the auto dodge (not to sure of the name of that skill).
Note: To get Wakka's sigil to appear as a prize, you'll have to reset the whole game. Then it should appear in the next tournament.

Quite long and very troublesome. Personally, I just blew through the game and that was it for me. It just didn't seemed worth my time to do insanely mundane things like looking into the sphere network for the 203rd time to get 100%. If you really want to see the perfect ending, downloading it may be less of a hassle. Plus you get to listen to the original Japanese dubbing and not the US voices...

So guys among all the FF games, which battle system you like best?
Inflict self-damage to level up system aka "masochism system" -
FF IITraditional level up style -
FF IVJob System -
FF V & FF TacticsEsper System -
FF VIMateria System -
FF VIIDraw System (forgot the actual name) -
FF VIIITraditional & Crystal System -
FF IXSphere Grid System -
FFX & FFX-2 I actually enjoy the Job System best (esp in FF Tactics)...doesn't seem to tire me, & I actually enjoy leveling up that game!

Sheer customisation options, Junction system from FF8. But that was the only thing i really like about it. Everything else in that system was generally not too good. Best overall? Job system in FF Tactics. Nothing was too broken like in FF8.

You are missing out a lot of things about FF6's battle simple. Here's what FF6's battle system mean to me:
- Unique ablities for each character
- No magic learning restriction for most characters except for Umaro. Note: Gogo has the magic spell list equivalent to that of the people in your party.
- First ever LIMIT BREAK moves.*
*=Lots of FF fans out there still don't know about this.
If you ask me, FFVIII's gameplay is the WORST among all the FF games. (No offense.) Why? Because I gain levels to kick ass not to get my own ass kicked back at me.
I've the habit of maxing out the levels to all my characters in all FF games that I've played. Play FF8 at level 100 and you'll get what I mean.

Yep, not many people know the Limit Break thingy, but its damn damn rare to see it happen...(your HP needs to be at critical)
And I also like to add FFVI also has the relic system which adds another dimension of gameplay.

Actually there was a cult following when FFVI was released on the SNES as FFIII, it sold around 500 000 copies but it wasn't till FF7 arrived till RPG really hit mainstream in the States.

FF6 along with chrono trigger are the most memorable rpgs i've played so far. In my view, 6 is the best in terms of story all roundedness, every char had their own dedicated story and not 1 char fell short of char development. Very noteworthy job on the part of the scriptwriters!

Chrono Trigger...agreed, that's 1 of the best RPGs in the 90s. One of the pioneers that incorporated the New Game+ feature. Think that's where FFX-2 got is idea from...
You guys think that FF games should have a New Game+ system? I kinda in favour for it, kinda nice to start out all maxed out with all powerful weapons, items and gil...
