sorry to break the momentum of european football.....but just to update. singapore lionx Xii has won away at Sarawak. and firmed our position of 2nd place. their football at times can be beautiful at jalan basar but....i think sundram got his tactics right. he soaked sarawak and we won. well played. time to turn attention to SG football again.

I dun know if this was discussed before in the past but.. a year has passed since Torres left us and neither him nor Carroll had turned good yet.. albeit, Carroll has scored more goals (or hasn't he?).. I still think it was good business for LFC as 50-million is a lot of money for Torres..

Still I hope that their luck turn around and start firing on all cylinders.. What you guys think? Will they be successful in their respective clubs?

Torres scored 2 and hope those 2 goals will boost his confidence and more goals will come.

Chelsea has been on a 100% winning streak since AVB left. Hey, I am not complaining with all these victories... clap.gif

Roberto Di Matteo may never be Chelsea's boss if you based on his managerial record before joining Chelsea as a assistant manager but so far his tactics has been spot on and one of the more important reasons that he is sucessful is that he has the backing of the older stars from Lampard, Terry, Drogba etc.

It really helps that he is a legend at the club. I believe that Chelsea's chance of winning the champions' league is not high but the FA Cup is easily theirs or Liverpool. Hopefully if Chelsea won the FA Cup, Roman Abramovich will give him a season to see if he really can make it as Chelsea's boss. Ruud Gullit and Gianluca Vialli didn't do too badly too. But if Roman Abramovich wants the European Cup next season, he might as well buy Barcelona instead.

It is completely useless to hire another manager like Dortumd's Jurgen Klopp. It will be the same story again. Every club should have experienced players inside. Even at Manchester United, they still depend heavily on Giggs and Scholes. Ever since Scholes came back, their form in the EPL has been excellent. At Liverpool, Gerrard just showed how important he can be with a hat-trick against Everton.

After the loss to QPR, Pools can look foward to the next season with Europa League sad.gif
Before that, WE BETTER WIN THE FA CUP.

As a Newcastle fan, I am secretly wishing Pool in the FA Cup final with Chelsea or Spurs.

After winning the League Cup, Liverpool players tend not to work as hard as perviously. It could be the reason they have won the League Cup, the pressure is off them. Perhaps they intend to work hard only in FA Cup matches. Just work hard for two games, the FA Cup semi-final and FA Cup and even they lost 5 out of the remaining 9 games in EPL, their season is still considered a sucess with League Cup victory and FA Cup victory if they are successful in the final.

Lost again to bottom clubs such as Wigan...at home some more.
The reds really look more and more like mid table team.
Time to search for the root of the problem.

Read from a soccer forum that the fans were saying Pool is like Robin Hood of football.
Stealing points from the riches and giving it to the poors. tongue.gif

Bro I think you've been gravely mistaken. They don't look like it. They are it, and have been it since Benitez's last season.

Daglish can hardly be blamed... look at the Liverpool midfield.... Gone Alonso Mascherano.... in came Henderson, Downing and co.... Spearing and Shelvey shld be gone to Div 2 long time ago... and their own midfield gem Gerrard is out injured for long periods... Suarez is not getting enough supplies from Midfield and hence his low scoring rate....

Liverpool needs to revamp their entire midfield next season... may even consider to cash in on the aging and injurey-proned Gerrard if a good offer comes along...

I totally concur. Even when Alonso is gone, at least they have some cultured playmaker like Meireles. And what did they do to him? Sold him.

Aquilani back from injury and raring to go. What did they do? Loaned him out for the season.

And in came workhorses like Henderson, Downing. One-dimensional player with no positional sense, skills, vision.

If Liverpool are to win every league game now till season end, they'd end up having 5 points lesser than their total points last season. Progress?

Dalglish says they should "stop playing their brand of beautiful football and be more direct". Really? Beautiful football? Or football that regularly puts five grown adults to sleep (and a snoring contest) while watching them?

We switched to Norwich vs Wolves last week after getting enough of watching Liverpool. We felt so good to actually watch an exciting game that was end-to-end action. Players going all out, full-blooded. May not be the most skilful game, but it's enjoyment nonetheless because the players tried their best.

This weekend, they'll be thrashed by Newcastle. P Cisse is on a great differential Fantasy Football form. Five goals in six games. The clowns masquerading as Liverpool have no chance against this outfit.
