before any earth mode there was a cybertronian mode... devil.gif

as we'd be trying 3D printing for this item..i believe detailing would be exact to the 3d picture.....so keep your fingers cross to see the actual "prototype" kit in say 1 month? or probably less.

I hope the proportions are corrected the arms seem a bit short, and some of the detailing could do with some refining, but all in all it's a nice mold, simple transformation which should hopefully lead to a sturdy highly posable bot. I love the large broad sword but not feeling the flat handle leading into an overal consistent depth, just looks like a cardboard cut out. All this will probaly be sorted but just incase they aren't and the designer is listening, please sort proportions. and please make all pieces in the right colour, and break parts down if they are one piece but diferent colours, so even though it could be one piece, due to different colours the parts are broken down further coloured parts, ie the head could be one piece but the different coloured parts should be separate pieces. If not stickers, I really don't wanna have to paint anything. I love all these 3rd party Transformer offerings and don't want to sound like I don't appreciate what yyou guys do, thats why I beleive it's important to get it right, as you need to make money to survive.

OK, looks like another great effort, so my main questions about this:

How many ball joints are there? Is it only in the shoulders? The renderings look pretty complete and I don't see a part line in the legs for Cybertronian car mode, so are the legs just one block with fold out feet and the only thing poseable are the arms?? The articulation looks more like G1/Brave than Henkei/Classics.

Very importantly, what is the finished material for this kit? Is it a thermoset or thermoplastic? From the size of the kit it looks like some of the pegs and holes (the flaps on the sides of the legs) are going to be challenging to cast correctly if this is going to be silicon molds and resin. If the kit comes out perfectly but parts breaks too easy it'll be another "fiasco". Definitely check out Jizai's non-standard 2-part molds using a potters wheel if you guys are going the resin route.

Wait, are you guys 3D printing every kit or just the prototype? Get your source to do a high definition print for sure. The "steps" in standard definition prints are really troublesome so clean up, especially at this small scale!

Good luck

I was thinking that as there seems to be no split but the hip joints suggest a healthy range of articulation so, there hopefully is a split bu the lighting hasn't picked it up as the split in the render doesn't leave a slight gap to cast any shadow to pick it up. Im hoping this is a concept proof, all be it late i the design stage, alterations will be made, but nothing that will alter the overall look. his is to help sell the product, so they can get a good idea of demand, etc. But we've all become o observent and have been let down so many times we know what to look out for, but we als know that designs can be improved from initial concept offerings, but we also have learnt that sometimes what we think will get fixed later on down the design root often gets left unaltered. Anyway they could of split the blocky legs back in the day of g1, isn't wasn't becuase the technology wasn't there, it was due to safety standards, aparently the legs had to with stand a certain amount of force, so to get around it they kept the legs molded as one block. Now they use more sturdier joints that can be produced cheap enough, early g1 designs had seperated legs and they could move as well, early primes had knee joints, but joints have to move in several directions as if one joint moves another has t move to stabalise the new position, as it was costly to create joints that were sturdy enough to do so, they opted for the cheaper and safer option. Now they say henkei/classic articulation. and I do notice someratchet joints, but that would require very mstrong expensive plastics, for durability, even just to work once. So fingers crossed that this has been well planned and that, this design will be improved and not restricted. As kits Ive seen such as gundam, use quite light weight plastics, and don't feel like they could with stand being used as ratcheted joints. Anyway these are just my opinions, I'm sure a real expert in manufacturing will correct me, or shed greatr light on the subject.
